Job Title: Orthodontic Assistant at Oak Dental Partners

Join our team as an Orthodontic Assistant at Oak Dental Partners. This role involves assisting orthodontists chair-side, greeting and escorting patients, taking radiographs, setting up and breaking down operatories, cleaning, and stocking materials. You will also handle sterilization and equipment maintenance in compliance with OSHA, federal, and state guidelines.

Additional responsibilities include supporting front desk operations such as scheduling, patient check-in, demographic verification, chart retrieval, and documenting treatment plans.

Basic Requirements

• 1-10 years of experience
• Radiology certification and DPH Dental Assistant License
• Familiarity with dental software, email, and Microsoft Word
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. with or without accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with study models, X-rays, panorex, cephalometric, digital photography
• Proficiency in banding, adjustments, Invisalign, and debanding
• Experience with impressions, lab work, and record duplication
• Knowledge of intra-oral and extra-oral photography
• Skills in bending/coordinating arch-wires, removing brackets, fitting headgear, and other orthodontic procedures
• Effective communication skills for patient and parent education
• Proficiency in radiograph-taking and infection control
• Experience working with patients with special healthcare needs
• Strong organizational and team leadership skills
