Job summary

Southern Orthodontic Partners is hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our Arlington & Herndon locations. This full-time dental assisting role focuses on chairside work, patient education, and thriving in a fast-paced orthodontic environment.

You will take X-rays, prepare rooms, and assist with sterilization while maintaining accurate patient records. Competitive pay and benefits are offered with growth opportunities within our network.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant.
• RDA or CDA certification (preferred).
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures.
• Place, adjust, and remove braces, brackets, and bands.
• Take X-rays, scans, impressions, and patient progress photos.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and braces aftercare.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR.
• Coordinate with clinical and front office teams; cross-train as needed.

We are hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice. This is a full-time dental assisting position ideal for someone who enjoys chairside assisting, patient education, and working in a fast-paced orthodontic environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures

Requirements

What We’re Looking For
