Job summary

DuClos Orthodontics is seeking a full-time Orthodontic Assistant to support clinical functions across our Wasilla and Anchorage offices. The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, detail-oriented, and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities include assisting the orthodontist, preparing rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays and digital scans, and helping with bonding, debonding, and appliance adjustments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental experience.
• Dental or orthodontic experience preferred.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness and ability to work in both Wasilla and Anchorage offices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient care and orthodontic procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.
• Take dental X-rays, panoramic images, and digital scans as needed.
• Assist with bonding and debonding braces, placing brackets, and changing archwires as directed by the orthodontist.
• Assist with fitting, adjusting, and removing orthodontic appliances, retainers, and other devices as permitted by state regulations.
• Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic adjustments and procedures.

• Take dental X-rays, panoramic images, and digital scans as needed
• Assist with bonding and debonding braces, placing brackets, and changing archwires as directed by the orthodontist.

Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic adjustments and procedures.
