Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our 36-bed Orthopedic/Urology unit. The role involves fast-paced clinical care with a collaborative multidisciplinary team and rotating day/night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Surgical RN experience preferred; will consider medical experience.
• 1+ years of experience in acute setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, compassionate, and comprehensive patient care under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Applies nursing knowledge and skills to maintain high standards of care.
• Advocates for patients and supports their individual needs, preferences, and goals.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and assist with treatments and procedures within the scope of practice and under Registered Nurse supervision.
• Maintain timely, accurate patient documentation and comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Educate patients and families about health management, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
• Follow infection prevention and control practices to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations using sound judgment, critical thinking, and appropriate escalation.
