Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a 36-bed Orthopedic/Urology unit. The role offers day/night rotation, weekends and holidays, and a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering safe, compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; surgical RN experience preferred; medical experience considered
• 1+ year of experience in acute setting
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Registered Nurse MA State License
• Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required
• Knowledgeable of care for age groups served
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care under RN supervision
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, assist with treatments within scope of practice
• Maintain timely, accurate patient documentation and comply with regulatory requirements
• Educate patients and families about health management and post-care instructions
• Follow infection prevention and control practices
• Respond to emergent situations with sound judgment and escalation
