Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Orthopedic Trauma unit to lead nursing care on a designated shift. Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure is required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Helps implement nursing strategies to improve engagement through staff rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training staff; supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
