Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles is seeking an Ortho Technician, PACT to join the float pool. You will assist physicians, NPs and PAs in orthopedic patient care, apply casts and immobilization devices, and support a range of procedures across multiple locations.

The role requires completing an Orthopedic Technology program, 2+ years in outpatient orthopedic settings, OTC certification within 180 days, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Orthopedic Technology program.
• 2+ years of experience in outpatient medical setting with orthopedic specialty.
• OTC Certification required within 180 days of hire.
• CPR required

Responsibilities

• Assists physician, NP or PA in assessment and care of the orthopedic patient.
• Applies and manages casts, splints, slings and immobilization devices.
• Supports procedures and assists in operating room as needed.
• Preps exam and procedure rooms; records vital signs and medical information.
• Travels to different office locations to provide Ortho Tech support as required.
• Ensures patient safety and coordinates with care team across locations.
