At Olympia Orthopaedic Associates, an Ortho Technician is a Medical Assistant who aids in patient care by performing the application and removal of casts, splints, and braces. You will help ensure proper healing of patient injuries through education of proper casting care and instruction on using crutches, walkers, and other aides. Along with administrative tasks, you could also be responsible for removal of sutures and staples, re-bandaging of wounds, and/or application of steri-strips.
