Job summary

Olyortho is seeking an experienced Ortho Technician in Olympia, WA to assist with patient care, including the application and removal of casts, splints, and braces. This full-time role requires a high school diploma and certification as a Medical Assistant.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with casting and durable medical equipment.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, or ability to become one within 90 days of hire.
  • Active BLS certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.

Summary of benefits

At Olympia Orthopaedic Associates, an Ortho Technician is a Medical Assistant who aids in patient care by performing the application and removal of casts, splints, and braces. You will help ensure proper healing of patient injuries through education of proper casting care and instruction on using crutches, walkers, and other aides. Along with administrative tasks, you could also be responsible for removal of sutures and staples, re-bandaging of wounds, and/or application of steri-strips.

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, or the ability to become a Registered Medical Assistant within 90 days of hire.
  • Active BLS certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with casting and DME.
