Job summary

Texas Orthopedics, a Division of OrthoLonestar, seeks an Orthopedic Technician/Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care, including casting, bracing, and other duties. You will manage clinic inventory and medications, ensure EMR documentation is timely, and back up staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; MA or Ortho Tech certification preferred.
  • Experience with casting, splinting, and DME is preferred.
  • Strong communication with physicians, staff and external consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with daily patient care including MA and Ortho Tech duties.
  • Manage clinic inventory by ordering supplies and overseeing medications.
  • Back up staffing for the clinic and document actions in the EMR promptly.
  • Train and mentor clinic staff; serve as resource for policies and procedures.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain clinic cleanliness and inventory.
  • Handle DME quality control and insurance benefits/authorizations.
