Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience in medical office, orthopedic setting, DME, casting, or patient care.
  • Ability to learn and follow physician orders, DME procedures, safety guidelines, and HIPAA policies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform related physical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Apply and remove casts and splints as ordered by the physician.
  • Fit patients with braces, boots, and other DME.
  • Provide patient education on proper use of DME.
