The role involves casting, exercise programs, diagnostic testing navigation, and durable medical equipment fitting, with strong emphasis on patient communication and administrative reliability.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant/Ortho Tech certification program.
• Active NH Medical Assistant, Ortho Tech, or Athletic Trainer license/certification; BCLS.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in treating patients, including casting, exercise programs, and fitting durable medical equipment.
• Interface with patients via phone and secure messaging for questions or requests.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and strong attendance.
• Maintain organization in a fast-paced office environment.
• Be comfortable on the phone and proficient with computers.
• Demonstrate dependability including good attendance.
• Be able to work multiple roles on a team.

Position Summary

This position directly supports orthopedic surgeons and physician assistants in the provision of orthopaedic care for patients in an office setting in our Exeter, Portsmouth and Dover.

• Assist the providers in treating patients including but not limited to: casting, exercise programs, navigation of diagnostic testing, and fitting durable medical equipment
• Interface via phone and secure messaging with patients who have clinical questions or requests of the surgeon or physician assistant they support
• Demonstrate excellent customer service
• Be extremely organized
• Be very comfortable on the phone
• Be proficient at using a computer
• Have a track record of dependability including good attendance
• Be able to work in a very fast-paced environment
• Be willing to work multiple roles on a team
