Job summary

Sentara Leigh Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Orthopedic Unit, 1 East, in Norfolk, VA. First shift (days) with 36 hours per week, 7a–7p. Up to $15,000 sign-on for qualified applicants. Starting pay for new grads with <1 year exp is $36.00/hour. The unit is 24 beds, mainly orthopedic with some medical patients.

The RN provides nursing care per standards, with residency/TTP for new grads and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and 401(k) with employer match.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• BSN preferred.
• New graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Communicate and coordinate with the care team to ensure patient safety.
• Support transition-to-practice program for new graduates.
