Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum two years of acute‑care hospital Med‑Surg experience.
• Leadership, management or charge nurse experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit with management.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
• Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalize nursing strategies such as hourly rounds and other initiatives to improve engagement.
• Recommend and implement strategies related to interviewing, selecting, training staff and evaluating performance.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources according to patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
