Job summary

OrthoCarolina is hiring a Clinical Assistant for our Spine location in Charlotte, NC. The role supports orthopedic patient care, performs routine procedures, triages calls, updates medical records, and educates patients under the supervision of physicians and mid-level providers.

The ideal candidate is certified or has accredited training as a CMA/RMA/EMT/ATC or nursing professional, with EMR experience (Epic) and strong communication skills. Travel to other OC sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, or nursing.
• CMA/RMA must be registered/certified through one of the listed national organizations.
• EMT/ATC credentials accepted depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Update clinical notes in the EMR (EPIC).
• Perform phone triage for patient calls and messages.
• Assist with casting and bracing and routine office procedures.
• Provide patient education and coordinate patient care with physicians.
• May travel to other OC locations as needed.
