Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR unit with heavy orthopedic case volume and DaVinci XI robotic experience required. The role features a 10-hour shift in a Level IV trauma center with multiple specialties and a strong focus on total joints and robotics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ortho-focused OR experience or 2 years in general OR.
• BLS certification and WA State registration required for Surgical Technologists.
• DaVinci XI robotic experience required.
• Must scrub for ortho, laparoscopic, and robotic cases.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Level IV Trauma Center hospital with 65 beds and 8 operating rooms.
• Average census of 25-40 patients per day.
• 10-hour day shift schedule (0645-1715).
• Heavy ortho focus in total joints and robotics with 4-5 rooms for total joints.
• Supports urology, general, bariatric, ophthalmology, podiatry, and GYN cases.
• 4 days per week slotted for bariatric cases.
• No weekend or holiday rotation required.
• No routine on-call unless vitrectomies require 30-minute response time.
• No floating.
• Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis system.
• DaVinci XI robotic system; Hana Table, Zimmer Biomet Rosa, Depuy Velys; laparoscopic experience preferred.
• Facility holds JCAHO Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Total Hip and Knee Replacement Certification and Bariatric Center of Excellence Accreditation.
• Unit supported by charge nurse, resource RN, anesthesia assistants, OR control desk, surgeons, CRNA, and nurse educator.
• Orientation includes NEO and 3 days with a preceptor.
• Unit culture described as teamwork, welcoming, traveler-friendly, family-oriented.
• Scrubs provided and free parking.
• RTO approvals up to 7 days accommodated.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
