Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• Strong knowledge of nursing process and clinical nursing practices
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process and organizational policies.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency and scope.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as appropriate.
• Provides patient and family education and ensures understanding of treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Implements infection control protocols and monitors medical equipment for patient safety.
• Documents care thoroughly and participates in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Orthopedics RN: provides specialized orthopedic pre- and post-operative care, peripheral/vascular assessments, immobilization devices, pain management, and patient education.
