Job summary

St. Peter's Health Partners in Latham, NY is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Orthopedics Office. You will provide direct nursing care, assess patients, document in the EMR, and coordinate referrals and prescriptions under the direction of a provider.

The role requires BLS certification, a NYS RN license, and at least 6 months of RN experience. Day shifts with office hours Monday–Friday support a balanced lifestyle and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• HS Diploma/equivalent required.
• Current unencumbered NYS RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• 6 months RN experience.
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Brings patient to exam room, takes vital signs and documents in EMR.
• Review and update medication list in EMR for provider review.
• Complete referrals and tracks patient compliance.
• Review prescriptions electronically and route to providers.
• Obtains patient consent for procedures as directed by provider.
• Pre-visit planning and review of quality metrics.
• Obtain telephonic clinical information from patients.
• Educate patients about medications, testing procedures and home care.
