Job summary

Ascension is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care on the night shift at Ascension Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role serves as the primary point of contact for coordinating care and ensuring orders are executed according to physician directives and patient needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid RN license in Illinois, have a Diploma in Nursing, and be able to meet BLS requirements within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date or transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• RN credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or transfer date required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care following established organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement, monitor, record, and communicate patient care plans and condition changes.
• Coordinate all disciplines as the primary point of contact for well-coordinated patient care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs.
