Job description

Responsibilities

Sign-on Bonuses up to $25,000 for eligible hires and positions

Job Summary / Purpose

Operates imaging equipment and performs diagnostic procedures. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Prepares and administers barium salts or other chemical mixtures if necessary. May perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist and/or physician. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed. Cleans and adjusts equipment.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  2. Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
  3. Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
  4. Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.
  5. Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  6. Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.
  7. Uses standard precautions and PPE at all times.
  8. Maintains regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
  9. Attends all required educational programs and Learn modules.
  10. Contributes to the efficient operation and resource utilization of the department.
  11. Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within the assigned area.
  12. Understands and performs according to the Code of Conduct Standards.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • State of Kentucky License and board eligibility required.
  • Possesses and maintains certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Two years of previous experience in radiology preferred.
