RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for the MG Orthopedics North group in West Orange, NJ. The role involves orthopedic coverage in both operating and office environments, with Day shift hours and a salaried position.

The department focuses on comprehensive orthopedic care across multiple Bergen, Essex and Hudson County locations. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, postoperative instructions, documentation, and collaboration with residents and other practitioners,

Qualifications

• PA-C licensure and board certification required.
• CDS, DEA, and BLS certifications needed.
• Ability to organize and achieve quality performance in a dynamic environment.
• Strong prioritization and patient-care focus required.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic coverage with evaluation, treatment, and documentation for patients in operating and office settings.
• Assist physicians during office hours including nonop, preoperative and postoperative instructions.
• Provide dictation support and documentation of patient encounters and related letters/forms.
• Review charts preoperatively and document pertinent information to support care.
• Collaborate with residents, fellows, and other practitioners on on-call schedules.
