Job summary

Arnot Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 4D Ortho/Neuro unit. You will provide post-surgical and medical nursing care to a 26-bed unit, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Onsite, full-time night shifts (3x12 hours) with weekend and holiday rotation. Requirements include NYS RN license or eligibility, accredited program graduation, and BLS/ACLS/Stroke certifications before the introductory period. A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible for NYS limited permit.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license or eligibility.
• Must obtain BLS, ACLS and Stroke certifications before completion of the introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and prioritize both expected and unanticipated patient needs.
• Provide specialized post-surgical and medical nursing care using strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Evaluate patient outcomes, maintain compliant clinical documentation, and address actual and potential problems.
• Educate patients and families while serving as a resource for department standards and patient care practices.
