Job summary

Mercy is hiring a registered nurse for its Med/Surg service line in the Joplin area. The RN will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, coordinate care with multiple departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained.

A sign-on bonus is offered and there is no contract. Ideal candidates are graduates or experienced nurses willing to work in a fast-paced ortho-neuro/unit setting with opportunities to pursue NIH Stroke Certification and professional

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school
• Current RN license in the applicable state or compact licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability for assigned patients
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality
