Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe patient care in the Ortho/Neuro Unit. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, and you will educate patients and families while coordinating with physicians and other staff.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and has acute care experience; ventilator management is preferred and BSN is favored.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days and maintain.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Direct patient/family teaching and guide other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Ortho/Neuro Unit.
