Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Ortho/Neuro Unit. You will deliver safe, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process, and guide patient education and teamwork to maintain high standards.

The role requires active RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preference for acute care experience and ventilator management skills. A BSN is preferred, and compensation reflects market practice for full-time days shifts.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in Ortho/Neuro Unit.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and treatment responses.
