Job summary

Saint Luke’s East Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Medical Surgical - Ortho team in a busy, fast-paced unit focused on orthopedic patients. The role offers day shifts (3, 12-hour shifts weekly) and opportunities to work with a nationally recognized team.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience, MO RN licensure, and BLS certification, with an associate degree in nursing. The unit emphasizes quality care and patient-centered teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1 year of applicable nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse licensure (MO); NURSYS.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process.
• Performs patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other health care team members when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency and adheres to policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
