Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Charge Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership and lead a Med/Surg team in delivering high-quality, efficient patient care. You will assess and coordinate care, guide families on medications and treatments, and ensure accurate documentation of tests and results.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, a nursing degree (BSN preferred), BLS certification, and 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse; if compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN Preferred
• American Heart Association BLS
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care setting preferred
• Cr itical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; PC skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Provide leadership to your nursing team during your designated shift
