Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 60 College Semester Hours minimum.
• Passing score on the Para Professional Test.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Measles/Rubella Immunity/Vaccination.
• Tuberculosis Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to assigned special education students.
• Assist in supervision and instruction of students.
• Relieve teachers of clerical tasks.
• Assist student with health care needs and daily living/behavioral skills.
• Adapt classroom work/homework under teacher guidance.
• Administer first aid and basic medical support as trained.
• Monitor student progress and assist in data collection.
• Maintain safe classroom and playground environments.
• Participate in meetings and trainings related to the program.
