Job summary

Memorial Hermann Katy is seeking a Surgical Technologist to deliver expert perioperative patient care as a scrub assistant to physicians during operative and invasive procedures. You will work under a Registered Nurse, ensuring aseptic technique and optimal patient care for various life cycles.

The role requires CST/BLS certification, graduation from a surgical technologist program, and experience progression from entry to advanced levels.

Qualifications

• This role requires completion of a Surgical Technologist program and NBSTSA or NCCT certification at minimum.
• Licenses: BLS and NBSTSA/NCCT certification are required.
• Experience levels range from New Grad to Surg Tech III with increasing years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Support unit goals and operate as a resource in the OR area/specialty service.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique and advanced surgical knowledge for patient care.
• Verify supplies and equipment and maintain asepsis per surgeon's preferences.
• Provide safe, within-budget care and contribute to department efficiency.
• Facilitate professional growth, orient staff, and provide training as needed.
• Deliver compassionate, personalized care aligned with service standards.
