Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is hiring a day-shift, full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join an orthopedics team. You will support patient visits, perform delegated clinical tasks, and manage EMR documentation under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate will have CMA/RMA certification, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS within 14 days of hire. Hospital setting experience and EMR proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited CMA program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• Basic EMR and MS Office knowledge.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient care in a clinic-based setting as part of a care team.
• Enter, maintain, and report medical history and claims in EMR.
• Assist during patient visits: chart prep, vital signs, rooming.
• Perform CMA scope procedures with provider-directed training.
• Explain procedures and medications to patients.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments; ensure clean exam rooms.
• Manage inventory and restocking of supplies.
• Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations as needed.
