Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification required.
• Basic EMR knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior patient care and perform administrative and delegated clinical tasks in a clinic setting.
• Enter and report patient history, medical coding, and claims using EMR.
• Support patient visits by greeting, escorting to exam room, and recording vital signs and medical information.
• Sterilize instruments and keep exam rooms clean and ready.
• Maintain inventory and stock supplies for all exam rooms.
• Process inventory paperwork and review orders for completeness.
• Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations and relay information for prescriptions, x-ray, or lab orders.
