Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist program.
• Current national certification as CMA or RMA.
• Basic EMR and MS Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks in a clinic-based setting under the physician/APP.
• Enters, maintains, and reports medical history, medical coding, and files claims using an EMR.
• Supports patient visits: greet, escort to room, take vital signs, and gather information for treatment.
• Sterilizes and prepares instruments; maintains clean exam rooms and patient privacy.
• Assists with inventory, stocking supplies, and processing referrals and insurance authorizations.
