Job summary

Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, AZ, seeks an ORR Night Group Supervisor (English/Spanish) to oversee students and staff during night shifts. Under general supervision, you will ensure safety and compliance with policies while directing Senior Coach Counselors, Night Coach Counselors, and transportation staff.

The role involves participating in personnel decisions, such as hires, transfers, evaluations, and discipline, and delivering program services around the clock.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass bilingual (English/Spanish) assessment.
• Minimum 1 year in child welfare with children/adolescents.
• Must meet ROP driver eligibility and have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Rite of Passage Team is Hiring an ORR Night Group Supervisor (English/Spanish) at Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, Arizona

What you will do: The Night Group Supervisor's work is performed under general supervision and requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, regulations, licensing requirements, and federal, state, and local laws concerning students within the program and supervised staff. The Night Group Supervisor exercises considerable independent judgment and authority on a daily basis through the direction and supervision of both students and staff in order to meet the expectations of the services provided. The Night Group Supervisor exercises direct control and direction over subordinate staff, such as Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, Night Coach Counselors, transportation staff, etc., as assigned, to ensure the safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of students in the program. The Night Group Supervisor's duties include participation and authority in decisions involving processes to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, promote, discharge, assign, evaluate performance, reward, or discipline other employees, as well as program delivery.

Schedule

• Night B Shift - Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass bilingual (English/Spanish) assessment.
• Minimum 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
• Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
