Job summary

McAdams is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Land Development to lead complex civil engineering projects from design through construction. You will manage teams, maintain client relationships, and ensure technical, schedule, and budget goals are met, while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development.

The role emphasizes oversight of site plans, utilities, stormwater, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on delivering high-quality deliverables and expanding the firm’s market

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EI required; PE or on track to obtaining PE preferred.
• 8+ years civil site design experience and 4+ years as a Project Manager.
• Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD; knowledge of design principles and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; client relationship management.
• Experience identifying new business opportunities and preparing proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of civil engineering projects from concept to construction administration.
• Serve as primary client contact, align goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Mentor project teams and coordinate with design staff and subconsultants.
• Direct site plans, utility, stormwater, grading, and infrastructure design.
• Develop and track budgets and schedules; allocate resources effectively.
• Oversee permitting with local agencies and municipalities.
