Job summary

Intertek in Orlando, Florida, seeks an Environmental Staff Scientist/Engineer/Geologist to support the Building and Construction environmental projects. Travel up to 15% as needed; schedule is Mon–Fri 8:00AM–5:00PM.

Role includes site assessments, investigations, and reports. Required is a bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering, 1+ years of environmental consulting experience, and proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.
• 1+ years of proven technical environmental consulting experience including site investigations and risk assessment.
• Must be detail-oriented, a team player with excellent communication, analytical, organization, and time and budget management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform Environmental Site Assessments including ASTM Phase I, II, and III and manage UST/LUST projects.
• Assist with soil gas and vapor intrusion investigations, remediation actions, and construction projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical proposals and client reports.
• Communicate with subcontractors, team members and regulators to align with plans and schedules.
• Author technical reports and assist with proposals.
• Work within project budgets to build relationships with clients and team members.
