Job summary

National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, seeks a Heavy Check Material Coordinator to ensure timely planning, procurement, and distribution of aircraft parts for heavy maintenance. You will work with Maintenance, Planning, and QA to maintain material readiness, comply with FAA regulations, and optimize inventory in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2+ years in aircraft parts procurement or inventory control, a strong focus on accuracy, and the ability to coordinate across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3–5 years of relevant experience may substitute.
• Minimum 2 years in aircraft parts procurement or inventory control.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Authorized to work in the United States and pass a background check.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Attention to detail and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Procure, repair, and stock aircraft components per GMM, policies, and FAA regulations.
• Source materials at or below market value for AOG and other critical maintenance scenarios.
• Track material usage trends and adjust safety stock for future events.
• Identify, source, and facilitate delivery of maintenance material requirements in real time.
• Serve as liaison between Maintenance, Planning, and Heavy Maintenance Material Representatives.
• Maintain daily communication with heavy check teams to minimize delays in turnaround times.
• Monitor borrowed or loaned parts and ensure timely return to vendors or lending organizations.
• Review and verify parts used are approved and properly documented; notify QA for updates to listings.
• Input and manage inventory data within the company inventory control system.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate quantities of high-usage and long-lead-time parts.
• Coordinate shipping, forwarding, and routing of components to outstations or facilities.
• Deliver shift turnover documentation to ensure continuity.
• Ensure all material handling, procurement, and tracking activities comply with procedures and FAA requirements.
• Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and reporting purposes.
• Support quality control and align with internal compliance standards and industry best practices.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
