Job summary

Supabase is building a Postgres backend platform and seeks an OrioleDB Developer (AMER) to advance OrioleDB and its collaboration with the PostgreSQL community. You will design, implement, and test storage-engine features and ensure integration with PostgreSQL's planner and executor.

The role is fully remote, supports an ESOP equity program, and involves robust development work across upstream patches, CI infrastructure, and production stability across the Americas time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience contributing to PostgreSQL core or similar database internals.
• Strong C programming skills and debugging complex system code.
• Familiarity with open source development processes and patches.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test new OrioleDB features and integrate with PostgreSQL.
• Build and maintain test infrastructure, regression suites, and CI pipelines.
• Identify patches for upstreaming to PostgreSQL core.
• Improve performance, resilience, monitoring, and tooling for production use.
• Debug and resolve low-level storage, indexing, and query execution issues.
• Document designs, participate in reviews, and support production deployments.
