We strongly believe that diversity fuels creativity and innovation. That’s why we welcome professionals who are ready to grow, learn, and bring their perspective to the energy challenges of today and tomorrow. Here, you’ll find a place to grow and unlock your full potential.

Company Profile:

In the summer of 2021, Repsol expanded its renewables operations to the U.S. through the acquisition of a large U.S.-based PV solar and battery storage project developer. This transaction was Repsol's first foray into the U.S. renewables market. In 2024, Repsol made another strategic acquisition of ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group. Repsol Renewables Services North America (RRSNA) is targeting to own and operate 3-4 GW of renewable capacity in North America by 2027.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Origination Intern for our summer program to join our Commercial team. If you are passionate about working in a global, inclusive, and collaborative team to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for RRSNA and the communities we serve, we want to hear from you. This is a twelve (12) week program starting May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, in Downtown Houston.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Origination team in identifying, evaluating, and advancing commercial opportunities for renewable energy projects and products.
  • Assist in market research and analysis of renewable energy, power, and environmental commodity markets.
  • Support the development and maintenance of commercial pipelines, customer databases, and market intelligence resources.
  • Assist in analyzing customer energy usage, pricing structures, and commercial requirements.
  • Review market data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and competitive dynamics affecting renewable energy transactions.
  • Support the evaluation of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), battery storage opportunities, and other commercial arrangements.
  • Assist with financial and commercial analysis used to support customer proposals and transaction negotiations.
  • Prepare commercial reports, dashboards, presentations, and other analytical materials for management and leadership teams.
  • Support the tracking and analysis of commercial opportunities, market activity, and transaction performance.
  • Assist with data collection, validation, and reporting across multiple business functions, including Development, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Legal teams.
  • Create and maintain commercial documentation, presentation materials, reporting templates, and process improvement tools.
  • Participate in special projects focused on business development, market expansion, revenue optimization, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Analyze large datasets using Excel and other business intelligence tools to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare and present project updates, market findings, and business recommendations to management and leadership teams.
  • Coordinate and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to support informed commercial and strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of sponsorship.
  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Energy Commerce, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in renewable energy markets, energy origination, business development, power marketing, or commercial strategy.
