The State of Illinois, Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services seeks an Orientation and Mobility Instructor to teach skills to individuals who are Blind, Visually Impaired, or DeafBlind in the Belleville area.

The role requires a master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility, COMS certification, and one year of related experience, with a Monday–Friday schedule and union benefits.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility from an accredited college or university.
• Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS).
• One year of professional experience in orientation and mobility.

Responsabilidades

• Provides orientation and mobility instruction in assigned area.
• Manages caseload of customers who are Blind, Visually Impaired, or DeafBlind.
• Establishes and nurtures effective working relationships with customers.
• Participates in staff meetings and assists with trainee staff.
