Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Orientation and Mobility with two years of experience OR a Master's Degree in Orientation and Mobility.
• Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist required or eligible within six months.

Responsibilities

• Determine feasibility of orientation and mobility training for clients.
• Assess and instruct clients who are blind or visually impaired in development of spatial awareness and mobility.
• Teach safe and independent travel using remaining senses.
• Coordinate referrals with DOE, DHHS, CDS, DVR and other professionals.
