Western Governors University seeks a Content Specialist to own the orientation experience from strategy through delivery. This hybrid role blends learning design, content creation, and just-in-time supports for Traditional and Career Accelerator programs.

You will partner with Communications, EdTech, and Program Development to ensure content is current, accessible, and on-brand, while shaping the student journey from onboarding to first milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, communications, multimedia, or related field.
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in content creation, instructional design, learning experience design, or a closely related role.
• Portfolio demonstrating learning design and digital content creation work.

Responsibilities

• Designs and maintains the end-to-end orientation experience for Traditional and Career Accelerator students.
• Translates program goals and student needs into structured learning experiences with clear outcomes.
• Leads iteration of modules and creation of new ones based on data and feedback.
• Collaborates with Communications, EdTech, and Program Development to keep content accurate and on-brand.
• Develops just-in-time supports triggered by student behavior or moments of friction.
