Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine is hiring a Lab Research Technician I to support organ-on-chip and organoid studies within the Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Division on campus in Pittsburgh.

You will prepare chips, seed cells, maintain cultures, collect samples, and assist with endpoint assays while keeping detailed records and working as part of a collaborative lab team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or combination of education and relevant experience.
• No specific years of experience required for this entry-level role.
• Experience in basic cell biology or molecular biology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Organs-on-Chip for cell seeding and culture.
• Seed cells into chips and generate organoids; maintain culture and perform media changes.
• Collect cells/samples for analysis and assist endpoint assays.
• Maintain detailed records; sterilize equipment and manage supplies.
• Collaborate with team and learn techniques under supervision.
