Job summary

Trident Consulting is seeking an Organoid Development Scientist II to join its Cell Biology R&D team in Temecula, CA. The role supports development and commercialization of organoid products, including culture, expansion, characterization, cryopreservation, and quality assessment.

This is a 90% laboratory-based position with hands-on scientific work and collaboration with a team of approx. 12 scientists.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Cell Biology or a related biological science.
• 3–6+ years of relevant scientific experience.
• Hands-on experience with organoids, stem cells, primary cells, or 3D cell culture.
• Experience with cryopreservation and cell banking.
• Experience with cell-based assays and microscopy.
• Molecular characterization and quality control experience.
• Ability to independently execute complex cell culture projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Culture, expand, passage, and cryopreserve human organoid lines.
• Execute organoid NPI projects from tissue receipt through launch readiness.
• Perform organoid characterization, quality control, and functional testing.
• Support development and optimization of organoid workflows and media.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and prepare technical documentation.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and product-management partners to support product launches.
• Contribute to continuous-improvement activities that increase throughput and operational efficiency.
