Job summary

Trident Consulting is seeking an Organoid Development Scientist II to join the Cell Biology R&D team in Temecula, CA. This 1-year temporary-to-permanent role focuses on organoid culture, development, and characterization to support product development and commercialization.

The position requires 3–6+ years of lab experience, hands-on work with organoids and 3D culture systems, and strong documentation and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
• 3–6+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with organoids, stem cells, primary cells, or 3D cell culture systems.
• Experience with cryopreservation, biobanking, cell-based assays, microscopy, or molecular characterization.
• Ability to independently execute complex cell culture projects and troubleshoot biological systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Culture, expand, passage, and cryopreserve human organoid lines.
• Execute NPI projects from tissue receipt through launch readiness.
• Perform organoid characterization, quality control, and functional testing.
• Support development and optimization of cell culture workflows and media.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and prepare technical documentation.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and product management teams to support product launches.
• Contribute to process improvements to increase laboratory efficiency and throughput.
