The role focuses on executing change across multiple waves, collaborating with the global process owner, and driving adoption through strong communications and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities include leading S2P communications, supporting category management rollout, and leveraging AI tools to create materials with minimal guidance.
Job Title: Organizational Change Manager - Source to Pay
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
Estimated Duration: 24 Months (Potential to convert to fulltime)
Key Responsibilities (Day-to-Day):
Execute the S2P change approach across multiple transformation waves, leveraging existing plans, tools, and lessons learned while tailoring execution to the needs and readiness of each business unit or region.
Partner closely with the S2P Global Process Owner to increase visibility and engagement around sourcing execution, supplier and contract optimization, category management, and emerging digital capabilities (including AI-enabled tools such as a Procurement Command Center AI Agent).
Lead S2P-related communications across business and functional networks: develop and deliver clear updates, timelines, expectations, success stories, and FAQs using channels such as SharePoint, PowerPoint, email, and town halls.
Support category management rollout: help design and communicate how category management will work across the enterprise; connect messaging across procurement, engineering, and other stakeholders, ensuring a consistent and integrated story.
Leverage data and AI tools (including large language models) to self-serve context, analyze stakeholder feedback, and quickly generate or refine change and communication materials without heavy guidance.
Monitor adoption and readiness for each wave: identify risks, resistance, and confusion; recommend and execute targeted interventions to improve understanding, engagement, and sustained behavior change.
Must-Have Qualifications & Experience:
Demonstrated experience supporting Source-to-Pay, procurement, or sourcing-related transformations (e.g., purchasing process changes, central procurement hubs, category management, supplier/contract optimization).
Able to quickly understand procurement concepts and terminology, and operate with minimal hand-holding.
Organizational Change Management (OCM) execution
Proven track record executing structured change approaches across multiple waves or business units (communications, training, engagement, reinforcement).
Comfortable adapting core change plans to different levels of readiness, maturity, and local context while preserving overall program direction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to turn complex S2P and procurement initiatives into clear, concise narratives and messages that resonate with leaders and end users.
Experience managing business unit and functional communications networks for major process or technology change.
Tools & self-sufficiency
Proficient with SharePoint (content creation/management) and PowerPoint (stakeholder presentations, leadership updates, training decks).
Comfortable using data and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar) to research, synthesize, and create materials quickly, and to answer questions without repeated explanations from others.
Highly proactive, able to \"pick things up fast\" and move work forward with limited direction.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Direct experience supporting end-to-end S2P, sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or contract management initiatives.
Proven ability to translate procurement execution and results into leader communications, success stories, and stakeholder updates that clearly demonstrate business value and reinforce desired behaviors.
Experience supporting adoption of AI-enabled or digital procurement capabilities (e.g., AI agents, procurement analytics, command-center concepts, workflow tools), including helping users understand how new tools augment roles, processes, and decisions.
Background coordinating change across multiple, interdependent procurement initiatives, aligning messaging on sourcing execution, supplier/contract optimization, process changes, and digital tools into a cohesive transformation story.
Comfortable working in a global, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholder groups, geographies, and deployment waves, and with varying levels of readiness.
