Arise Collective seeks a dependable Organization Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for women transitioning from prison. You will support program staff and ensure timely trips to appointments, programming, and community destinations.
The role requires adherence to traffic laws, strong judgment, and a calm presence as participants rely on this service for employment, healthcare, and reentry activities. This is a part-time, off-site position in Wake County, NC.

Arise Collective is a unique organization operating at the nexus of prison chaplaincy, women's issues, and social justice with a mission to equip women with the tools and support they need to heal, grow and thrive, both in prison and in the communities to which they return. The organization provides chaplaincy services and transition education inside women's prisons, and comprehensive and holistic wraparound services for formerly incarcerated women as they reenter society, including housing and access to education and employment opportunities. The Organization Driver plays a vital role in the daily lives of the women we serve by providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation to and from appointments, programming, and other essential destinations in the community. This position requires sound judgment, punctuality, and a calm, steady presence, as participants often depend on this transportation to access employment, healthcare, recovery services, and family connections critical to their reentry journey. The Organization Driver works closely with program staff to ensure transportation needs are met safely and consistently, contributing directly to participants' stability and success.
This position requires the physical ability required to operate a vehicle. Requires excellent hand-eye-foot coordination; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp; visual acuity to use a keyboard and other equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
This is an off-site position with a primary purpose to safely transport participants to and from destinations in the community. Travel will mainly be in Wake County, NC for up to 30 hours per week. Regular early mornings, some late evenings, and some weekends required. The impact of actions is great in this position with potential harm to participant safety and well-being.
Non-exempt part-time position.
$18 to $22 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include a retirement plan with employer match, pre-tax benefit options, and pro-rated paid time off and leave.
