Job summary

ALS seeks an entry-level lab support technician to assist in the Organics Air analysis lab and related areas. You will follow SOPs, document outcomes, operate lab instruments, and help prepare and repair sample media used in air testing.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and collaboration with the lab team. Applicants should have a high school diploma, strong computer skills (Excel/Word), and good organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Lab experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to communicate professionally with staff and management.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Previous laboratory experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop an understanding of quality control requirements and laboratory quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow appropriate methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
• Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.
• Operate and maintain various laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Prepare, maintain, and repair sample media used in air testing processes.
• Support laboratory operations while adhering to established quality standards and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Recognize and maintain safe working conditions and use appropriate safety equipment at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
