Job summary

The Laboratory Technician for Organic Extractions performs preparation, analysis, and extraction tasks following SOPs, working with SVOC/TPH analyses and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, or biology.
• Experience following SOPs and laboratory methods.
• Ability to prepare samples and reagents accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
• Prepare samples, dilutions, and splits for analysis per SOP.
• Prepare and label reagents and standards.
• Complete general lab paperwork in logbooks and bench sheets.
• Dispose of samples according to SOP and maintain equipment.
• Communicate workload status and data quality issues to supervisor.
• Assist with corrective actions investigations and actions.
• Other duties as assigned by the department Team Lead.
