Job summary

RJ Lee Group is seeking a Chemistry Technician to support the organic chemistry department in Monroeville, PA. The role includes sample preparation, analysis, method development, and data quality review, with potential evening hours.

The position emphasizes training, instrumentation maintenance, and working with GC-FID, GC-ECD, GC-MS, FTIR, and HPLC. Strong English communication, organization, and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience with solvent extraction techniques.
• Experience with EPA, OSHA, NIOSH, ASTM preparation and analysis methods and protocols.
• Strong MS Office applications experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Must have good organizational skills and ability to perform efficiently multiple tasks.
• Working experience with instruments such as GC-FID, GC-ECD, GC-MS, FTIR or HPLC will be a plus.
• Experience with instrument maintenance and repair will be a plus.
• The position could require working after normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation and analysis of diverse matrices.
• Develop methods and review data quality.
• Train personnel and maintain instrumentation.
• Handle extraction of organic matrices, minerals, raw products, environmental and industrial hygiene samples.
