The Role You’ll Contribute

OurLegacy, designated by CMS as the only organ procurement organization in east central Florida, is accredited by AATB. It operates across multiple hospitals within the AdventHealth system and surrounding counties, providing organ and tissue donation services. The Manager of Family Services leads our donor family care program, utilizing expertise in donation processes, crisis intervention, grief counseling, and spiritual care to support donor families and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and policies. The role involves oversight of donation conversations, collaboration with clinical teams, and staff development, with a focus on compassionate family care and staff well-being.

• Oversee donation authorization programs across hospitals in multiple counties.
• Evaluate family dynamics and donor status daily, ensuring proper management.
• Collaborate with clinical and hospital teams to implement best practices.
• Develop personalized support plans for donor families, respecting their wishes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Health Sciences, Counseling, or related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience.
• 5 years in federal OPO.
• 2 years in organ donation, psychology, social work, or counseling.
