Job summary

South Florida Donor Network in Miami Lakes serves hospitals and donor families across South Florida. The Referral Responder supports the mission by managing and evaluating potential organ donor referrals and guiding donor management under the Administrator On-Call and Medical Director.

You will collaborate with hospital staff, communicate with families, and ensure compliance with CMS, UNOS, AOPO and CDC guidelines while maintaining records and providing education.

Qualifications

• Healthcare-related degree preferred; clinical experience can substitute.
• Nursing, paramedic medicine, medical technician or related medical experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential donor referrals and determine donor suitability.
• Review hospital records to assess organ/tissue donation viability.
• Guide families and obtain informed consent sensitively.
• Coordinate with Coroner/Medical Examiner and AOC/Medical Director as needed.
• Maintain donor records and documentation throughout the process.
